The student exchange program is a two-week program during the summer that works on a rotating cycle. On even years students from Gresham travel to Sokcho and on odd years Sokcho students come to Gresham. Students that travel to Sokcho experience living with a host family for two weeks during their summer festival season. Student ambassadors are given a brief introduction to the Korean language and culture.
We are also looking for a host family here in Gresham to host Sokcho students who are generally 9th graders, they will spend two week in July to learn English and american life and culture. Counterpart hosting student will have a chance to visit Sokcho following year. If you are interested in hosting a student from Sokcho, please contact us.
